While opponents know that a massive new data center is planned for Bessemer, Alabama, no one knows precise details because some city officials have signed a non-disclosure agreement with the developer, Logistical Land Development, LLC. The NAACP has used Alabama's open-records laws to request environmental impact statements of the project, as well as copies of the non-disclosure agreements signed by Mayor Kenneth Gulley and his staff.
