The Watts Labor Community Action Committee (WLCAC) has been a longstanding partner of Food Forward. On October 17, MudTown Farms—a WLCAC partner project—distributed their freshly grown produce alongside food provided by Food Forward to community members, WLCAC staff, and volunteers at the WLCAC site in Watts, Los Angeles. Food Forward no longer is a backyard venture. It has a full-time staff of more than 50, and a cash operating budget of $9.2 million this year. That budget is made possible by individual donors, corporate sponsors and foundations.
